Bulgur Pilaf Mix with Lentils - 250 g |

Bulgur pilaf is the everyday Turkish grain dish, and this pouch has the whole thing prepared apart from the water. Coarse pilaf bulgur carries 16% dried vegetable seasoning (red pepper, green pepper, leek, carrot, tomato, onion, spinach) and 2% boiled and dried lentils. Saute the entire pack briefly in a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of butter, add four to four and a half cups of hot water with salt to taste, cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed, then rest it off the heat. One pack serves four to five people. Per 100 g it reads 13.5 g fibre, 12.3 g protein and just 0.01 g salt, since no salt or sugar is added. The recipe is plant-based; use oil alone in place of butter to keep the finished dish vegan.
